Accessibility statement
This English version is a translation provided for convenience only. The Hebrew version is the binding text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
Hadas Manor Atelier sees the accessibility of this website as part of the service itself, and works to make it accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
The standard applied
The site was built in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, and in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
What has actually been made accessible
- Semantic HTML structure and a correct heading hierarchy on every page
- Full keyboard navigation, including closing with the Esc key and returning focus to where it was
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page
- Descriptive alternative text for every image on the site, in the language of the page
- A contrast ratio of 16.37:1 between text and background — well above the required minimum of 4.5:1
- Animations switched off completely for anyone who has set a reduced-motion preference in their operating system
- Support for enlarging text without breaking the layout
- A personal adjustments panel (the “Accessibility” button in the corner of the screen): larger text, higher contrast, underlined links and stopping animations
The adjustments panel is not a substitute
The adjustments panel is an additional layer on top of a site that was built to be accessible from the start, not a substitute for that. No external accessibility plugin is used, among other reasons so that browsing data is not passed on to a third party. The preferences chosen in the panel are stored only in the user’s own browser.
Known limitations
We prefer to state plainly what has not yet been completed:
- An accessibility audit by a certified accessibility inspector has not yet been carried out. The accessibility described here is based on building to the standard and on testing carried out during development.
- The English version of the site (under /en) is live, but has not yet gone through the same testing that was carried out on the Hebrew version
- There may be recently added pages or components that have not yet been fully tested. We would be glad to hear about any problem
